Your child will absolutely LOVE this large handwoven traditional Easter basket for many years to come.
We started making these when one customer asked us to recreate an antique Easter basket in her family. She wanted three different boy varieties made similar to the antique basket. We wove three versions with different colors and hand-painted motifs around the middle. We even added handle ribbons like the ones on her antique basket. The third photo shows these three baskets.
The band around the middle is made of maple and features colorful hand-painted Easter motifs by our artist. She will personalize your basket with your child’s first name, as well as Easter illustrations that appear all around the basket.
The first two photos show a special basket made for James, who adores turtles. We used green, blue, and brown reed and some seagrass for detail. We tucked in some ribbon of marching turtles to complement the painted motifs and wrapped the handle with matching ribbon.
The handle is solid wood and continues around the bottom for extra strength.
Can also be woven on a solid wood base, if desired.
